Uje i oksigjenuar contains the active substance hydrogen peroxide. Hydrogen peroxide is an oxidising agent used as an antiseptic, disinfectant and deodorant.
Its antiseptic action is the result of immediate release of oxygen when applied to the tissue, but the effect lasts only as long as the oxygen continues to be released and the effect is short.
• Uje i oksigjenuar is used to cleanse wounds and ulcers.
• Diluted hydrogen peroxide solution (1.5%) is used as a mouthwash in the treatment of acute stomatitis and as a deodorant gargle.
• Hydrogen peroxide is used in the disinfection of soft contact lenses.
